Account Executive

As an industry leader in geospatial civic intelligence, mySidewalk challenges city leaders to rethink the way they do business and empowers cities to become efficient, smarter, and most importantly, people-centric. mySidewalk’s next Account Executive will require someone that loves navigating the new and unfamiliar, selling market-leading technology and providing thought leadership in the city intelligence space. This person will work closely with sales leadership to craft our message, iterate our sales process and generate new business with disruptive technology in the government space.

The kind of problems you’ll help us solve:

  • How do cities track and measure city performance today?
  • What sales strategies best create and expand opportunities within the public sector?
  • How would you navigate a complex selling cycle with a SaaS offering?

How you’ll solve those problems:

  • Develop strategies for selling directly to government customers.
    • Perform in-depth client and industry research to create compelling business cases and RFP responses
    • Sell our city intelligence platform within the territory and customer population assigned
    • Create and implement a strategic plan to provide account management, focusing on new customer acquisition
    • Position, market and sell mySidewalk directly to end customers
  • Work closely with marketing to nurture leads and build pipeline.
    • Develop an understanding of the industry trends and relevant business drivers
    • Attend and participate in trade shows and professional meetings
  • Measure progress and improve process of our internal systems.
    • Develop measurable goals, track results and pursue revenue opportunities
    • Utilize our internal customer relationship management system and forecasting tools

You’ll help us solve those problems if you:

  • Have a BA/BS degree or equivalent business experience
  • Have 5+ years of software solution sales or direct sales experience
  • Have previous experience with a value-based sales, "solution selling," target account sales, "complex sales" or similar sales methodology
  • Persuade and influence, using appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to gain acceptance of thoughts, plans, activities, services and products
  • Actively listen, hear and understand what is said and not said, and comprehend the meaning and intent
  • Desire to independently interact with multi-functional teams
  • Communicate effectively at all levels of an organization, from individual contributors to C-level
  • Have a working knowledge of business intelligence, performance analysis, or enterprise-wide specific solutions within the public sector

Client Development Executive 

As an industry leader in geospatial civic intelligence, mySidewalk challenges city leaders to rethink the way they do business and empowers cities to become efficient, smarter, and most importantly, people-centric. mySidewalk’s next Client Development Executive will require someone that has a knack for understanding the larger picture and driving execution through to the tiniest details. Our next teammate will use empathy to guide their interactions yet approach their work with an analytical mindset. This person will work closely with sales leadership as well as the product and marketing teams to further drive a customer-centric approach in the organization.

The kinds of problems you’ll help us solve:

  • What systems and processes best help us capture customer feedback?
  • How do we help make our customers successful? How do we expand and deepen our customer relationships?
  • How do we connect the needs of our customers to the product roadmap?

How you’ll solve those problems:

  • Develop and drive the full customer lifecycle.
    • Proactively build strong customer relationships to provide our customer base with the proper level of service and support
    • Serve as a client advocate both internally and externally to build a partnership between their work and our product.
    • Improve and connect customer processes across products, bringing consistency to all workflows
  • Strategically scale customer impact, growing the business.
    • Act as a thought partner for our customers, supporting the full range of their needs
    • Understand client business needs and suggest appropriate solutions
    • Align internal processes with sales, product and customers to deepen and expand our customer reach
  • Foster advocacy in our customer base.
    • Develop client communication that continues to position mySidewalk as an industry leader and trusted resource for city intelligence tools
    • Work closely with marketing to develop relationships across the customer base, including working with our customer advisory board and/or user group meetings

You’ll help us solve those problems if you:

  • Have 5+ years relevant experience with client development, customer success, account management, sales or professional services
  • Are motivated and results-driven with a strong sense of initiative and ownership
  • Demonstrate intellect, drive, executive presence, and sales acumen
  • Have proven experience building excellent client relationships, offering strategic insight into their work
  • Actively listen, hear and understand what is said and not said, and comprehend the meaning and intent

Sales Development Representative 

As an industry leader in geospatial civic intelligence, mySidewalk challenges city leaders to rethink the way they do business and empowers cities to become efficient, smarter, and most importantly, people-centric. mySidewalk’s next Sales Development Representative will require someone that loves navigating the new and unfamiliar, initiating conversations around market-leading technology and providing thought leadership in the city intelligence space. This person will work closely with our account executives to craft our message and generate new business with disruptive technology in the government space.

The kind of problems you’ll help us solve:

  • How do cities track and measure city performance today?
  • What marketing message best resonates with our current and potential customers?
  • How would you quickly build trust with someone you do not know?
  • How would you align customer pain points with our solutions?

How you’ll solve those problems:

  • Work closely with marketing to nurture leads and build pipeline. 
    • Develop an understanding of the industry trends and relevant business drivers
    • Attend and participate in trade shows and professional meetings
    • Provide feedback on messaging to gain marketing alignment with our potential customer base
  • Manage sales pipeline and drive revenue growth.
    • Drive revenue growth by prospecting, qualifying and developing new sales opportunities
    • Conduct research on prospects, key players and city performance management plans, and drive opportunities where our solutions align
  • Measure progress and improve the process of our internal systems.
    • Develop measurable goals, track results and pursue revenue opportunities
    • Utilize our internal customer relationship management system and forecasting tools

  • Have a BA/BS degree or equivalent business experience
  • Have 1-2+ years of software solution sales or direct sales experience
